18 storey dedicated CBD data centre. 800 m² raised floor.

KAE provided all services including raised floor for this project. Services included new central plant chillers, close control air conditioning, fire suppression, communications, electrical, security, bmcs etc

Earth Satellite Station [click for datasheet]
10,000 m² Earth Satellite station, delivering NSW's wireless communications via orbiting satellites.

Wollongong Data Centre
KAE provided all services for this 4 storey Data Centre refurbishment.

This project including all new chillers and cooling towers and associated infrastructure replacement whilst maintaining building operation.

Canberra Defence Data Centre [click for datasheet]
The KAE team delivered Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Fire, Hydraulic and Mechanical services for a new Tier 3 data centre in Canberra. "We were able to undertake this project, in rapid fashion, due to our in house expertise and extensive data centre project experience" Paul McAleese - KAE.

Dalley Street Data Centre
KAE undertook the detailed design of this large Sydney based data centre allowing for the building to be decanted. This allowed for a large multi- storey mixed development to occur on the site.

HYDRAULICS / FIRE

Kent Street Data Centre
This project is an 18 storey voice & data communications hub supporting Big Pond internet and Fox TV. This exchange is one of Sydney’s most critical exchanges.

The building services infrastructure is required to achieve a very high level availability. Construction of this project was completed in June 2003, and comprised the full fit out of a 1,000 sq.m shell, including augmentation of the building existing chilled water and power supply infrastructure to support up to 600W/sq.m equipment loads.

KAE undertook the hydraulic services design, and construction administration, for this new 1,000 sq.m data centre within Sydney’s premier telephone exchange building.

This project highlights KAE’s expertise in successfully delivering a fully coordinated, multi-disciplinary design solution to a technically demanding client’s brief.

The hydraulic design provided for air conditioning condensate removal, computer floor flood protection, sub floor waterproofing sprinkler pipe work etc

STRUCTURAL

East Maitland Data Centre
KAE documented a standalone building to house the central plant chillers and associated sub-systems for this building.

The new building comprised a single storey brick and precast concrete walled building (approximately 150 sq.m) complete with concrete floor slab and steelwork framed roof. The roof structure allowed for the support of significant acoustic treatment for the 3 off air cooled chillers.

Compliance with Council requirements and DA formed a major part of the design.

Wollongong Data Centre
KAE documented a new 200 square metre roof platform to house the air conditioning plant for this project. The platform was designed to support 6 cooling towers and one air cooled radiator along with associated acoustic treatment for the towers and screening.
